Terms & Conditions

Dear Valued Guest,

The following Terms & Conditions apply to your trip:

Deposit Requirements

We appreciate that you may be hesitant to deposit on future travel without some flexibility to be able to change your mind. We are therefore pleased to offer flexibility on our deposit requirements for new tailor-made bookings made through 31December 2024.

For new bookings made for travel in 2024, you may now change or cancel up to 65 days prior to departure for any reason — and receive a credit toward future travel.

*Guests who cancel without rebooking can receive a credit toward future travel.  The credit will be valid through December 31, 2025 and is non-transferable and non-refundable.  The credit will be issued less any non-refundable fees paid by CTCAdventures (i.e.-nonrefundable airfare, cruise fare, hotel deposits, etc.). Applicable price of new journey applies. Guest is responsible for other costs paid separately by you for trip-related expenses such as non-refundable air fees, insurance, etc.* All other standard terms and conditions apply to the booking.

Reservation and Payment

A deposit of approximately 25% confirms your reservation (deposit amounts are individualized and based on destination requirements).  The balance of your invoice is due 65 days prior to your travel date. If you make your reservation after the final payment due date, payment in full will be required upon reservation. Payment for services may be made by credit card (Visa, Master Card, American Express, Discover), by check (payable to CTCAdventures and mailed to our USA office) or by wire transfer to our bank (details will be provided).

Refunds & Cancellations

If you must cancel your trip, the effective date of cancellation will be upon receipt of your written notification. If you need to cancel for any reason prior to tour departure and do not have travel insurance that covers your cancellation, the cancellation fees will be as follows:

From booking date to 65 days prior to arrival date:

:

Deposit nonrefundable or optional future travel credit*

from 64 to 35 days to arrival date:

:

25% of package rate

from 34 to 08 days to arrival date:

:

75% of package rate

from 07 to 00 days to arrival date:

:

100% of package rate

* Cancellation terms may be different for programs that contain yacht charter, villa rentals, programs that include a cruise, and groups with ten or more participants.

** The percentages above are valid when your entire group or family cancels the trip. For cases where one or more passengers cancel from a group, the group will be repriced based on the new number of passengers traveling.

Please note that once travelling, the cost of any unused portion of your tour package is not refundable.

Travel Insurance/Travel Protection Plan

Please note that monies paid for any trip may be at risk should you be forced to change your plans.  We therefore strongly recommend that you purchase a travel insurance protection plan to help protect you and your travel investment against the unexpected. Travel protection plans can include coverage for Trip Cancellation, Trip Interruption, Emergency Medical and Emergency Evacuation/Repatriation, Trip Delay, Baggage Delay and more. Higher-cost policies, including “cancel for any reason” coverage, are also available. Please note that “cancel for any reason” coverage reimburses only 75% of your payments.  Please inquire for details and a personalized quote. A travel insurance brochure will be sent to you at the time of booking.  For more information on available plans or to enroll, go to either:

Or

Or you may contact us at CTCAdventures for an individualized insurance quote.

Please note: To be eligible for the waiver of pre-existing medical condition exclusion and/or Cancel for Any Reason coverage, the protection plan must be purchased within 15 days from the time you make your initial trip deposit. However, a plan without those features can be purchased later.

Single Travelers

We welcome single travelers and offer a limited number of single accommodations. Because hotel and yacht rates are priced by the room or cabin, the cost for accommodations occupied by one person is higher than that shared by two people, but we will do everything possible to keep single supplements at a reasonable cost. Please note that single rooms in many European and Mediterranean area hotels may be smaller than those to which you are accustomed.

Triple Room Discounts / Children

Triple room accommodations are available on a limited basis at a reduced price of 10% - 20% the off the hotel portion of the program fee for the third person. Triple rooms usually consist of a twin-bedded room with an additional cot or folding bed for the third person. Triple rooms may not be comfortable for three adults.

Passports & Visas

Passports & visas and payment for each are the responsibility of each client. You are responsible for obtaining any travel documents and/or verifying entry requirements necessary for each country of travel and/or transit. Visas are required for US citizens traveling in Turkey and may be issued online in advance. Visas for Egypt are required of US citizens and may be purchased upon arrival in Cairo. You are responsible for any expenses incurred as a result of delays or itinerary changes related to your lack of appropriate travel documents.

Pre-departure

After reserving your tour and acknowledging these terms & conditions, you will receive extensive pre-departure information that includes a detailed itinerary, hotel list, maps, visa requirements, travel insurance information, a reading list etc.

Changes to Your Reservation

Please note that changes are subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed. If you change the date of your tour and subsequently cancel, cancellation penalties will be based upon your original tour departure date. Similarly, if you change your reservation from double occupancy to single occupancy, you will be charged the single supplement. Changes within 65 days of your trip departure will incur a fee of $200 for each change requested.  In addition, some changes may result in the tour price being adjusted accordingly.

Not Included in Your Tour Price

International airfare, costs of passports and visas, personal expenses such as beverages, laundry, room service and meals not specified, excess baggage fees, communication charges, airport, port and departure taxes, gratuities to CTC tour guide(s), driver(s) and yacht crew which are at your discretion, optional sightseeing or shore excursions and travel insurance are not included in your tour price. Please see our Travel Protection Plan described in another section of these General Terms and Conditions.

Smoking

CTCAdventures has a No Smoking policy on all tour vehicles. Non-smoking hotel rooms are always reserved for our travelers.

Travelers Needing Special Assistance

The pace of our trips varies, but in general they require participants to be in good physical health. CTCAdventures will make reasonable efforts to accommodate the special needs of tour participants. At the time you book your trip, please inform us of any physical disabilities or limitations you may have so that we can help you determine the appropriateness of the itinerary. If such limitations cause you to require more than minor support, we ask that you plan to travel with a companion who will be responsible for providing that support. We reserve the right to decline to accept a reservation or remove a person from a trip if it is determined by our Tour Guide to be in the best interests of the health, safety and general well-being of the other travelers.
